“A Tale of Two Brothers”

Genesis 25:19-34 “19 This is the account of Abraham's son Isaac. Abraham became the father of Isaac, 20 and Isaac was forty years old when he married Rebeccah daughter of Bethuel the Aramean from Paddan Aram and sister of Laban the Aramean. 21 Isaac prayed to the LORD on behalf of his wife, because she was barren. The LORD answered his prayer, and his wife Rebeccah became pregnant. 22 The babies jostled each other within her, and she said, "Why is this happening to me?" So she went to inquire of the LORD. 23 The LORD said to her, "Two nations are in your womb, and two peoples from within you will be separated; one people will be stronger than the other, and the older will serve the younger." 24 When the time came for her to give birth, there were twin boys in her womb. 25 The first to come out was red, and his whole body was like a hairy garment; so they named him Esau. 26 After this, his brother came out, with his hand grasping Esau's heel; so he was named Jacob. Isaac was sixty years old when Rebeccah gave birth to them. 27 The boys grew up, and Esau became a skillful hunter, a man of the open country, while Jacob was a quiet man, staying among the tents. 28 Isaac, who had a taste for wild game, loved Esau, but Rebeccah loved Jacob. 29 Once when Jacob was cooking some stew, Esau came in from the open country, famished. 30 He said to Jacob, "Quick, let me have some of that red stew! I'm famished!" (That is why he was also called Edom.)
31 Jacob replied, "First sell me your birthright." 32 "Look, I am about to die," Esau said. "What good is the birthright to me?" 33 But Jacob said, "Swear to me first." So he swore an oath to him, selling his birthright to Jacob. 34 Then Jacob gave Esau some bread and some lentil stew. He ate and drank, and then got up and left. So Esau despised his birthright.



1. This story is a very important story to us today as we live out the Biblical fulfillment of this prophetic part of the Torah. In this story we find several things that mirror our lives today. We find the “Death of Abraham”--a type and shadow of way that many in the Church have abandoned the ways of Father Abraham for the pagan idolatrous ways of the world around us; we also find Esau and Jacob--the twin sons of the dynamic union between the SON OF THE COVENANT PROMISE--who is represented by Isaac and the COVENANT BRIDE OF THE PROMISED ONE--who is represented by Rebeccah--and she represents US in our walk today as the BRIDE of the promised Messiah! We also see that Esau--who is the true firstborn son--and who has the BIRTHRITE which is a reference to the ROYAL PRIESTHOOD and the BLESSING of firstborn--which gave him RULERSHIP as KING of the family of Abraham--forsakes his position for the love of the World around him. This is a type and shadow of the condition in the heart of the body of Messiah today and these two brothers represent the two natures that are in us. One is "wild" and the other is "obedient." Whatever has control over you will determine the result of the days of your life. If you love the Torah-God's Teaching and Instructions for a successful life--then you will end up like Jacob--with the BLESSING of the COVENANT--but if you live more like ESAU--and love the ways of THIS WORLD--the pagan ways that surround you--you will end your life outside the blessing--and "hated" by the Lord --meaning one who is destined for eternal punishment.

1 John 2:15-16 says “15Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16For everything in the world—the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does—comes not from the Father but from the world. 17The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God [Torah] lives forever.

Romans 9:6-13 says “6It is not as though God's word had failed. For not all who are descended from Israel are Israel. 7Nor because they are his descendants are they all Abraham's children. On the contrary, "It is through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned." 8In other words, it is not the natural children who are God's children, but it is the children of the promise who are regarded as Abraham's offspring. 9For this was how the promise was stated: "At the appointed time I will return, and Sarah will have a son."10Not only that, but Rebeccah’s children had one and the same father, our father Isaac. 11Yet, before the twins were born or had done anything good or bad—in order that God's purpose in election might stand: 12not by works but by him who calls—she was told, "The older will serve the younger."13Just as it is written: "Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated."

2. Jacob was very different from his older brother Esau. Jacob was a man of study; he learned from his father Isaac the ways of the Lord--the way of Torah and he learned from his Grandfather Abraham. This was not his natural position by birthright succession--but this became his possession because of the GRACE of his FATHER--a type and shadow of our turning to the Yeshua and the Torah in the last days by grace and studying--while others are following the ways of the pagan idolatrous systems around us. It is always taught that Isaac loved Esau and Rebeccah loved Jacob; but I have never bought that. If you remember, the twins were causing quite a problem for their Mother so she went to inquire of the Lord about this. The Lord told her that "2 Nations would come forth from her womb" and ultimately, "the older will serve the younger." This was a prophecy that the Lord made to Rebeccah and we are to believe that she did not tell Isaac --her husband the one who would issue the blessing--or covenantal rule? No way no how. I would like to propose that rather than a "trick" to fool Isaac--the trick was done to "fool" Esau--who had already shown that He did not care for the ways of the Lord when He took two Hittite women as wives--which the Torah says "greatly disturbed Isaac and Rebeccah;" but what were they to do? Isaac was getting older and his sight was getting very bad, so he was not able to physically control Esau any longer. Esau had defiled the family by bringing in a Hittite as a Wife--and not allowing Isaac to choose a wife for him--as Isaac had done with Rebeccah. Thus, Isaac knew that He could not allow ESAU to be the RULER of the Family--in direct violation of the prophecy the Lord gave to Rebeccah before the boys were born; and as Esau had already traded away the BIRTHRITE--which was the ROYAL PRIESTHOOD for the sake of his belly--to think that He would rule the family in the event of Isaacs death would have been unconscionable. So Isaac--contrary to the way this is normally preached--when we are told that Isaac preferred Esau had worked together with his wife Rebeccah and they had developed a plan that would allow the blessing to go to Jacob--in fulfillment of the prophecy of the Lord, and would allow them to not be killed by Esau when He found out--so Isaac called Esau in and sent him out to gather venison--deer meat. Now remember, Isaac was getting older--and KNEW that Esav was lingering for the day of his death--so he could take the RULERSHIP of the Family--and the covenant blessing; BUT Isaac went on to live MANY MORE YEARS AFTER THIS….so he couldn't have been that far gone. So Isaac sent ESAU out on a set up. Why was it a set up? Well--first of all--Rebeccah was within hearing; secondly the conveyance of the blessing was an act of COVENANT and that required a COVENANTAL MEAL--and NO COVENANT COVENANTAL SACRIFICE OR MEAL was EVER made by offering a DEER--which is what Isaac sent ESAU out after! No--the COVENANTAL MEAL had to be sealed by the offering of A LAMB--and thus Isaac and Rebeccah had their opening to get Jacob in position to receive not only the BIRTHRITE--or PRIESTLY BLESSING OF THE 1ST BORN--BUT ALSO THE COVENANTAL BLESSING OF KINGSHIP AND RULERSHIP!!

This is a type and shadow of GOD sending a strong delusion on the people today --so that they will believe the pagan idolatrous lies of Catholicized religion--it is the same type of ruse as Isaac used for his son Esau and it is the same for those who have the HEART--and LIFESTYLE OF ESAU.

2 Thessalonians 2:7-12 “7For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way. 8And then the lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming. 9The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders, 10and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. 11For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie 12and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness

1 John 3:4-10 says “4Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness. 5But you know that he appeared so that he might take away our sins. And in him is no sin. 6No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him. 7Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray. He who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous. 8He who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil's work. 9No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God's seed remains in him; he cannot go on sinning, because he has been born of God. 10This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not a child of God; nor is anyone who does not love his brother.”


3. Well, we all know the story; there is a test of obedience and Faith--and Trust on the part of Rebeccah and Jacob. To receive the blessing of His Father--Jacob had to OBEY the instructions of his MOTHER which would allow Jacob to RECEIVE THE BLESSING of the FIRSTBORN--which meant RULERSHIP--or DOMINION. So to do we today have to obey the HOLY SPIRIT--the RUACH HAKODESH--which each time it is written in the Bible it is written in a "feminine tense"--thus the HOLY SPIRIT which is the Feminine--or nurturing side of God. If we fail to listen to the Holy Spirit--our spiritual MOTHER--who leads us INTO OBEDIENCE to God's Teaching and Instructions--the Torah--we will never receive the blessing of our Father--just like Jacob; it is the same principle for us today.

Jacob obeys the instructions of His MOTHER and comes in and obeys, and then is sent out among the Nations to His Uncles Laban's home--and as He went Jacob left with BOTH the BIRTHRITE --the 1ST BORN PRIESTHOOD of MALCHI-TZADEK and THE RULERSHIP RIGHT OF KINGSHIP OVER HIS FAMILY which traditionally belongs to the firstborn. Even as you are being sent among the nations with the RIGHT OF THE FIRSTFRUITS FROM THE DEAD--which is the LIFE OF YAHSHUA to this LAST GENERATION.

Now, to receive the blessings of Abraham--we must learn to live the way Abraham did. How was that? By Faith? Absolutely--by faith, but coupled with our faith--we need to add what GENESIS 26:5 says about Abraham--that He "Kept ALL GOD'S COMMAANDS DECREE'S LAWS AND INSTRUCTIONS." Even as Jacob had to put on the goat hair that simulated his brothers ARM and NECK--so to do you--after becoming a Believer--have to put on THE LIFESTYLE WAYS OF OUR JEWISH BROTHERS--the WAYS OF THE ISRAELITES--so that you will receive the BLESSING OF THE FATHER--just like Jacob did. YOU will LOOK LIKE the FIRSTBORN--Yeshua--You will SMELL like the Firstborn--and YOU WILL ACT like the FIRSTBORN SON--but in reality--you will still be the 2nd Born and be just like YACOV--JACOB! This tells us that he who RECIEVES the DOUBLE PORTION BLESSING will LOOK LIKE ISRAEL--KEEP THE FEASTS OF ISRAEL--THE SHABBAT OF ISRAEL--but will never surrender his status AS JACOB--the younger son--it is THIS SON and THIS SON ONLY that RECIEVES THE RIGHT TO RULE AND REIGN--the position of the KING AND PRIEST to this last generation of souls.

Proverbs 28:9 says “9 If anyone turns a deaf ear to the law, even his prayers are detestable.

Proverbs 15:8-9 says “8 The LORD detests the sacrifice of the wicked,[those outside Torah] but the prayer of the upright pleases him. 9 The LORD detests the way of the wicked [those outside Torah] but he loves those who pursue righteousness [pursue Torah]

Isaiah 1:13-17 says “13 Stop bringing meaningless offerings! [Torahless Church Services] Your incense [Prayers and Praise] is detestable to me. New Moons, Sabbaths and convocations— I cannot bear your evil [Lawless] assemblies. 14 Your New Moon festivals and your appointed feasts my soul hates. They have become a burden to me; I am weary of bearing them. 15 When you spread out your hands in prayer, I will hide my eyes from you; even if you offer many prayers, I will not listen. Your hands are full of blood; 16 wash and make yourselves clean. Take your evil [Lawless] deeds out of my sight! Stop doing wrong, [violating Torah] 17 learn to do right! [obey God’s Torah] Seek justice, encourage the oppressed. Defend the cause of the fatherless, plead the case of the widow.”


4. When Esau returns--he begins to prepare the meal for his Father Isaac--he has gone out--killed a wild deer--gone through all the trouble of preparing it for His father--only to be rejected as to RECEIPT OF THE BLESSING. There are people today--who love the world--they will tell you that they LOVE the Lord, but their lifestyle is just like all of those in the nations around them--who do not love the Torah--who spread out their hands to GOD each week and their prayers are TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE TO HIM--even as Esau’s offering was unacceptable to Isaac. Why? BECAUSE THEY FAIL TO TAKE CARE OF THEIR RESPONSIBILITY TO OBEY GOD'S WORD which is the DUTY OF THE PRIESTHOOD. Additionally they ignore the Torah--argue it is done away with--"Jesus did it--so I do not have to" is their rally cry whenever they are questioned about why they break the 10 commandments--failing to KEEP THE SABBATH DAY HOLY. They are people who are always IN THE WORLD--WORRIED ABOUT THE THINGS OF THE WORLD--LIVING amidst the CURSED OF THE WORLD--with the IDOLS IN THEIR HEART crying out to them. They follow the pagan idolatrous ways of the NATIONS and not that of the ISRAELITES--the PEOPLE OF THEIR LORD AND KING. They forsake their BLESSING by their HATING THEIR BIRTHRIGHT. FAITH IS THE CAPITAL OF THE PRIESTHOOD OF MALKI-TZADEK and the TORAH is YOUR BLESSING as born again believers. Only by obeying its commands, precepts, laws and instructions--will you forsake the ways of this the DELUSION and receive the BLESSING that comes from THE FATHER.

Hebrews 12:15-24 says “15See to it that no one misses the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many. 16See that no one is sexually immoral, or is godless like Esau, who for a single meal sold his inheritance rights as the oldest son. 17Afterward, as you know, when he wanted to inherit this blessing, he was rejected. He could bring about no change of mind, though he sought the blessing with tears.

Matthew 7:21-23 says “21"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.[The Torah] 22Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' 23Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers [TORAHLESS ONES!'”]


Matthew 24:45-50 says “45"Who then is the faithful and wise servant,[Torah obedient Servant] whom the master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the proper time? 46It will be good for that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns. 47I tell you the truth, he will put him in charge of all his possessions. 48But suppose that servant is wicked [LAWLESS] and says to himself, 'My master is staying away a long time,' 49and he then begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with drunkards. 50The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of. 51He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites, [those whose CONFESSION and CONDUCT DO NOT MATCH] where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth

Repent and turn from your heart of Esau--and live in obedience by faith to the Lord Yeshua Messiah; it is not too late, if you repent today. Do not be like "Godless Esau" who took for granted his BIRTHRITE--PRIESTHOOD AUTHORITY--which cost him the BLESSING TO RULE AND REIGN IN THIS LIFE. Yeshua Messiah--the same, yesterday, today and forever.

THE GREATEST VOTE

I have been watching with some great interest the Political Debate in the Nation for the past several months. As an American, I am proud that we not only have the first African American Presidential Candidate who has a real chance to win the Presidency, but we also have a Woman who has a legitimate chance to punch a hole through the last and greatest ceiling in America. This truly is a historical event. With that in mind, I will say that anyone who would submit themselves and their families for the massive media scrutiny and attack that has become an earmark of the Presidential election apparatus should be recognized as a hero --just for running.

But for me, the election is not one of ideology or political party--but one of Biblical issues. This election is not about race, or gender, but one of evil and good--one of right and wrong for the followers of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord calls His Servants to reflect His Word in the earth; not race, gender or political ideology. The case in this election is a very clear one; it is a choice between casual Christianity and firmly holding to the teachings of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob: Jesus Christ.

4000 future Nobel Laureates are currently murdered each day in this nations abortion mills, and Planned Parenthood was recently exposed in Kansas City by a reporter that called up their executive offices pretending to be a possible donor. The reporter asked the unwitting staff of Kansas Cities Planned Parenthood Chapter if He could chose the "RACE" of the Children he would be paying the abortions for; and just so there in no confusion here--the reporter asked to the Planned Parenthood Staffer if he made a significant donation to Planned Parenthood in Kansas City--could he request that his money only go to paying for the Abortions of "BLACK CHILDREN ONLY" to which the Planned Parenthood Staffer replied without missing a beat--a resounding and horrifying "YES!" So this is how far we have come--Social Genocide of African Americans--and right in the United States of America…God FORBID! But was this reported on mainstream media--unfortunately no.

But on the Abortion question we are told that it is not a matter of the "murder" of our future Children, but of a women's "privacy" that is the question. 4000 future Doctors, who could hold God's key to solving Cancer, Aids and any number of maladies that people suffer with are being snuffed out by people who are more concerned with vote totals than the life of future Americans. We seem to hate negative politics, but we support murder by our votes--and we wonder why our nation is slipping deeper and deeper into the moral abyss that makes us need "Chips" for our Televisions to protect children from the moral terrorism that comes into the home of average born-again Christians throughout the United States. From Wallstreet to Main street--people who are older than 30 are longing for a time when parents raised children--and not a village; where Abortion was murdering the unborn; and not a privacy issue that is painted to being akin to whether or not I decide to close my blinds in my home--or have and expectation of "Big-Brother" reading my emails. This alarming trend has happened while the Church has been asleep in the light--and snoring behind the wheel.

Just last week the "World Council of Churches" had a dinner in "Honor" of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad--the rising Hitler of our Generation. People claiming to have the Spirit of Jesus Christ living within them--through a dinner saluting a man who desires to kill the Lord's chosen people--the Nation of Israel. The reason that Jews have never really believed that Jesus is the long awaited Messiah is because those who claim that "He Lives" are standing in arms with those who desire to see Jews driven from the face of the earth. This is nothing knew; ever since the Catholic cooptation of the Gospel that was taught by the Jewish followers of Jesus, pogrom after pogrom, murder after murder, inquisition after inquisition has been done in the name of the One sent to die for the sins of all mankind-including the Jews. This disturbing pattern has continued until the death camps that saw some many Jews murdered in gas chamber after gas chamber--had a sign that hung over the entrance of the gas chamber in a camp called "Auschwitz;" now what makes this so heinous, is what the sign said………….sickly--it read "Remember, Jesus Loves You and Work Will Set You Free" as Jew after Jew was rushed in shivering in the European cold to be murdered. This same spirit is alive and well today--the spirit of apathy that has taken over the Church and this false "love" that would accept a Terrorist like the president of Iran.

In this election, there is a candidate that is close friends with the Palestinian Academics that have become a scourge on our College Campuses. There is a candidate that approves of killing 4000 future Americans per day while turning a "Deaf Ear" and a "Blind Eye" to the screams of the little ones that hold the key to our future. Each soul that the Heavenly Father sends to earth has a mission to help to create what Jews call "Tikkun L'Olam" or "The Restoration of All Things." The thought behind this is that each of us has an obligation to make this earth a better place than the place that it was before we arrived here; a better place that is more reflective of God's love in the earth. How is God's love portrayed when our politicians "Wink" at the death of 4000 innocent children a day--and want to appoint Judges who turn a blind eye as well? How are God's thoughts reflected when one candidate lies to the leaders of Israel while making deals with Palestinian Terrorists--with promises to divide a sovereign Nations Capital City? How can born-again believers vote for a candidate that would willingly sit down with a Terrorist who wishes to kill all of God's chosen people the Jews--and then lie to the nation about it? Is it God's actions that are being promoted or the enemy of God that is wishing to control our once great nation?

Academics are fine, and differing views are fine, but those who desire to take a position that is in direct opposition to the Word of God--the most basic of His foundational covenantal commandments--"THOU SHALL NOT KILL" and then a more recent update "LET THE LITTLE CHILDREN COME UNTO ME;" how can the Children come--if they are being aborted at a rate of 4000 per day in the United States alone? Brothers and Sisters, this election is not about the economy--and not about Afghanistan--Iraq or even Israel. This election is about life and death--blessing and cursing. We have stood by for far too long and allowed prayer to be taken out of Schools, Bible Clubs forbidden on High School Campuses around the nation and the God of the Universe to be ignored.

As a Minister, I cannot endorse any political candidate; however, I will just say to anyone who is reading this posting that the choice for born-again believers should be a clear one. One candidate espouses to make permanent the Abortion of millions of future American Children, and one does not. One candidate has dinner with Palestinian Terrorists, and one does not. One candidate is seeking to appoint Supreme Court Justices that will uphold Rowe v. Wade and one does not. One candidate is a staunch Ally of Israel and has been for many years, and one is not. Today in America, everyone and everything is a "Christian;" it has become quasi-sheik to be a "Christian" and so many people do--and politicians have learned that real born-again believers vote…..so they have become "Christians" but in this upcoming election, there is only one ticket that has a staunch pro-life agenda; and the other does not.

I will not tell anyone who to vote for, but I can only agree with the words of Rev. John Hagee when he stated so eloquently, "We need to vote the Bible;" and my friends--the Bible is very clear on the ticket that we should support. This is a spiritual test of enormous proportions. If you vote based on race, then you have chosen race over the Bible; if you vote because of gender, then you have chosen gender over the Bible. Born-again servants of the living God cannot vote to support "death" even if it is wrapped up in exciting speeches and hidden behind the notion that race and gender trump the commandments of the Bible. Be aware that if you vote for people who are "pro-abortion" or "women's privacy" then you have aligned yourself with the very hands that commit the acts.

It is a time for Christians of every flavor to be "Strong and Courageous" and not fall prey to the gender and racial aspects of the election and not fall into the fear of the economic crash. No--our position as people of the living God must be clear--we must vote the Bible and if we do not--then we have no right to complain about the actions that will follow; race and gender do not bring forth life--only the Word of God brings forth life……..Jesus IS the Word of God and He adamantly stated "LET THE LITTLE CHILDREN COME UNTO ME--FOR THEIRS IS THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN." Choose this day who you will serve--but as for me and my house--we will serve the Lord, and will vote accordingly.
